Advanced LIQUID® Technology Awarded to Hydroflux for Sydney Water’s Rouse Hill WRP

Sydney Water’s Rouse Hill Water Resource Recovery Facility is being upgraded as part of the Northwest Treatment Hub Program. The Rouse Hill WRRF provides recycled water to over 32,000 customers in the local area. The upgrade will provide capacity to ensure that planned growth in the area is met sustainably.
Technology Highlights
- High-efficiency drum screen technology sized at 750 L/s per unit with a certified screenings capture of 92%
- 2mm perforated heavy-duty drum provides high strength and robustness with a 25 year design life
- Submerged launder arrangement with screenings washing, compaction and transport provides final treatment of captured screenings
- All 316 stainless steel construction for resistance to corrosion
Application Knowledge
- Many of Australia’s largest MBR-based treatment processes use HUBER Inclined or Horizontal drum screen technology
- Specific knowledge of sizing, blinding factors and hole velocities for Australian conditions
- Local references dating back to 2007
- Access to HUBER’s international knowledge base with over 1000+ references in pre-MBR applications
Drum screen LIQUID® is a horizontal screen that is available in several diameters and drum lengths to cater for a wide range of capacities. It can be used for screening of primary sewage, secondary sewage or industrial wastewater streams.
