Another Victorian STP Fitted with Hydroflux Epco LogMax® and Cleansweep®
Western Water’s Gisborne STP was upgraded in 2007. The works included the installation of a new secondary clarifier.
A Hydroflux Epco 18M LogMax® clarifier was installed and fitted with a CleanSweep launder trough clearing system and scum removal.
Technology
The scum skimming system consists of radial scum scraper, scum beach scum box and hinged skimming mechanism.
Scum off the radial scraper is captured in a dam made up from the hinged pivoted skimmer.
When the hinged skimmer contacts the scum box the capture scum is dumped through the box and exits the clarifier through the scum box outlet.
